How it works
From the first conversation to settlement, with one point of contact the whole way. No documents are needed to start.
Five steps to settlement
Tell us the plan
Answer a few quick questions online or call us. Tell us what you are trying to do, the rough amount and anything you think may be a problem.
What we need: Nothing yet. A short description is enough.
Get a straight answer
We assess whether it is fundable, what it would take to get approved and which lenders' policies suit it. If it is not workable yet, we tell you what would need to change.
What we need: A conversation about your income, assets, debts and goals.
Compare the options
We set out suitable loans side by side, including rate, fees, structure, features and conditions. You decide how to proceed.
What we need: Your supporting documents so the options are accurate.
Application and approval
We prepare and lodge the application, answer the lender’s questions and arrange valuations. You hear from us at each milestone.
What we need: Your signed consent and any extra documents the lender asks for.
Settlement and beyond
We coordinate loan documents and settlement with your solicitor or conveyancer. After settlement, we review the loan when your circumstances or the market change.
What we need: Signed loan documents.
How we are paid
For most home, investment and business loans there is no fee to you. We are paid a commission by the lender when your loan settles, and in some cases an ongoing commission while the loan is active.
For some commercial, construction and private loans, a broker fee may apply because of the extra work involved. Any fee is explained and agreed in writing before you proceed.

Common questions
Will an enquiry affect my credit score?
No. Talking to us or answering the online questions does not involve a credit check. A credit enquiry is only made when an application is lodged with a lender, with your consent.
How long does approval take?
It depends on the lender and the loan. Straightforward home loans can be approved within days, while commercial, construction and private loans usually take longer. We give you a realistic timeframe once the lender is chosen.
Can I get pre-approval?
Yes, for most home and investment loans. Pre-approval shows how much a lender is likely to lend before you make an offer. It is subject to the property and to final approval.
Do you work with my accountant or solicitor?
Yes. With your consent we can speak with your accountant about income and structure, and with your solicitor or conveyancer on settlement.
